Description
Are you looking for a way to review words with your students so that they don’t guess at words? Want an easy, no-prep activity that will keep your students engaged? Look-alike words are the perfect solution to train students to attend to every letter
The look-alike words technique is the perfect way to give students practice looking at every grapheme in a word.
I first heard about “look-alike words” in David Kilpatrick’s Equipped for Reading Success. At its core, look-alike words are a series of words that are visually similar. You are teaching students to attend to EVERY letter because the words are so similar.
